BELLEVUE BOARD
In Northern Europe the small boards are used as ‘breakfast or snack plates’. The larger size is a chopping board or perhaps for use as an anti-pasti / cheese platter…Combined with their function these boards have a very special feature: a laser engraved motif is carefully located on each board to perfectly match the beautiful swirling grain of the timber, deliberately chosen to produce a surprising result! Kleinkariert = little checks: A striking print created by Berlin based S-Wert Design. It is much more than just a pretty red & white print and infact an ironic reference to gingham (kleinkariert = small squares with a double meaning in German being ‘small mindedness’). The print integrates various shaped outlines of houses that represents sprawling suburbia… ”a must for every country house!” 100% cotton.
