Carafe / DECANTER

The traditional form of the Bordeaux & Burgundy style bottles was the inspiration for the curves of these elegant mouth-blown carafes from France.
The evolution of the form from bottle to Carafe is quite evident in the resulting shape - which also facilitates the decanting process; a solid glass stopper completes the package.

Two designs:

BELLEVUE BOARD

In Northern Europe the small boards are used as ‘breakfast or snack plates’. The larger size is a chopping board or perhaps for use as an anti-pasti / cheese platter…Combined with their function these boards have a very special feature: a laser engraved motif is carefully located on each board to perfectly match the beautiful swirling grain of the timber, deliberately chosen to produce a surprising result! Doily News

The name says it all! The daily rag (in fact produced from unsold newspapers) recycled into lovely, whimsical ‘doilies’. This version of the humble, old fashioned doily certainly captures the zeitgeist.
What more can we say? That it is a personal favourite.
